How to build the perfect smoothie
Smoothies can be a great breakfast or snack option but I often here people saying that they are hungry or dont feel satisfied. Well I’m here to show you that you can build a smoothie that won’t leave you feeling hungry.
Remember at each meal
2 cups of veggies
1 serve of protein
2 serves of good quality fat
How to build the perfect smoothie
1-2 teaspoons fibre (ground flax/LSA/Chia Seeds)
2 tablespoons protein (I prefer hemp, collagen, or pea protein)
2 cups of veggies
½ cup fruit
1 ½ cup water or coconut water
These are my favourite smoothie recipes that I have on a regular basis.
Chocolate smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup coconut milk
1 tablespoon cocao
1 tablespoon chia seeds
½ banana frozen
½ zucchini streamed then frozen
1 tablespoon nut butter
1 cup spinach
¼ avocado
1 teaspoon collagen
¼ cup water
1 teaspoon MCT oil (optional)
Method:
1. Place all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth
2. If you’re in a rush in the morning you can prepare this the night before and then blend in the morning and enjoy on the run.
Green Smoothie
1 cup of spinach
½ cucumber
6 mint leaves
½ cup frozen pineapple
1 tablespoon collagen powder
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon MCT powder
1 cup coconut water
Method:
1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
