What my plate looks like?
This is what I aim for my plate to look like at each meal. This is also what I teach as a part of my thrive sustainable weight loss program. One of the participants in the latest round said, “it is so stupidly obvious but when you break it down like that it makes it easy. I have eaten more veggies in the past week than I have in a long time and I am feeling amazing for it. Yes, is simple but is simple a bad thing. I think we overcomplicate what we think we should eat and it all just gets too hard. But if we keep it simple, keep it easy, we can sustain these changes long term and in the long term, we can see so many positive changes to our health.
The Rural Naturopaths’ principles of healthy eating
For your 3 main meals aim to consume
2 cups of veggies
1 serve of protein
1-2 serves of healthy fats
